Exclusive Premiere: Hear Kayce Laine’s Synth-Pop Single, ‘Afterglow’

Kayce Laine is a name you might not know yet, but her new synth-pop single will have you ready to see her in the “Afterglow.”

From Chesapeake, Virgina to Brooklyn, Laine has been perfecting her signature sound. She started out with an indie electro-pop trio (Blip Blip Bleep) before releasing her debut solo EP, Lucid. The EP produced four original, self-produced synth-pop tracks and led to a solo tour.

Fast forward to now and Laine is living in East Nashville and working with a new producer. She’s collaborating with Tim Brennan and they’re doing some amazing things. “Afterglow” is their latest creation and it’ll have you hitting play over and over again.

“I wrote ‘Afterglow’ a few years ago when I was getting back into the dating scene after a long-term relationship,” Laine explains. “It’s about the early stages of dating during a time when communication is so easy that it becomes diluted, indirect and often confusing. It’s difficult to distinguish between a real connection and an interpretation of a connection — you lose sight of what is real and what is a wish.”

Check out the exclusive premiere of Laine’s “Afterglow” below and be on the lookout for her next EP. She’s heading to the studio this summer.
