Joe Diffie has passed away at the age of 61, according to a statement from his PR team. The country singer died from complications of Coronavirus, just days after we learned of his diagnosis.
Diffie’s family is asking for privacy during this heartbreaking time. We’re sending them our love and prayers.
Diffie was both a CMA and Grammy-winning artist. He released 13 albums and had more than 20 Top 10 hits. He was one of the most successful singer-songwriters of the 90s and he’s penned songs for artists including Tim McGraw, Conway Twitty and Jo Dee Messina. He’s known for some of his biggest hits including “Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox,” “John Deere Green,” “Third Rock From the Sun” “Pickup Man” and so many more.
Diffie’s legacy will live on forever.
