This is a brand new series from Netflix starring Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union. It is a Bad Boys film franchise spinoff where “two police detectives team up while trying to keep their stormy pasts — and differences — from interfering.”
Pieces of a Woman
Vanessa Kirby stars as Martha, in this deeply moving story of a woman trying to learn from her loss. Kirby gives one of the best performances of the year. Check out my review here.

The King of Staten Island
If you haven’t seen The King of Staten Island yet, you’re already behind. There’s a reason a lot of our staff are calling this movie their favorite of the year. In this Judd Apatow directed film, Scott has really struggled with all aspects of his life since his firefighter father died. Although there’s a beautifully serious storyline, the movie will make you feel good and laugh (a lot).
