This week’s New Music Friday favorites include Kassi Ashton, Ali Gatie, Hot Country Knights, Kelsea Ballerini and Hayley Williams.
Ashton’s song, “Hopeless,” is a fan favorite and we see why. According to the Missouri native, fans have been blowing her messages up wanting this song. Now the wait is over.
Ballerini also released a new song today. “la” is a beautiful track that Ballerini describes as “the most vulnerable thing I’ve publicly shared.” She goes on to say, “It’s not cool to talk about not feeling cool. but it’s honest. and I’m really proud of every word of it.”
Paramore frontwoman, Hayley Williams, is showing a new side of herself with her solo debut single. “Simmer” is addictive. It’s from her solo debut, which is set to drop on May 8.
Cold War Kids released a Strings & Keys EP today. The five-track EP is acoustic and includes their version of George Michael’s “Freedom ’90.” Since we’ve been listening to the whole thing on repeat, we recommend doing the same.
Another full album we’re listening to today is Wynn Williams’ self-titled debut. He’s a new Texas artist that’s opened for the likes of Gary Allan, Randy Rogers Band, Josh Abbott Band and Parker McCollum. If you like what you hear, support his music by downloading the album below.
Hear those releases by checking out (and following) our Jan. 2020 New Music Friday playlist below. You’ll also find new ones from Hot Country Knights, Twin Atlantic, Pech Pit, Pearl Jam and more.
