Reigning NBC The Voice champion Jake Hoot just got a huge honor. He was invited to make his Grand Ole Opry debut while on WGSQ’s 94.7 The Country Giant.
While Hoot was there, he was surprised by Dailey & Vincent’s Jamie Dailey. Dailey, who is an Opry member, hugged the TV sensation before telling him to sit down because they “had a little business to talk about.”
“This is really, really cool… We are so proud of you and I know that all the Upper Cumberland and beyond is proud of you,” Dailey says before singing Hoot’s praises and eventually telling him the big news. “You know Jake, if you’re going to be in country music and you’re going to get out here and sing these country songs, the most hallowed stage that you can sing and play on is that of the Grand Ole Opry. That’s the stage that made country music famous and I’m a member of the Grand Ole Opry and a member of the first family of country music.”
“On behalf of us all, we would like to extend an invitation to you to come and sing and play on the stage at the Grand Ole Opry. Would you do that for us?”
The room broke out in applause and I bet you can guess Hoot’s answer but it’s better if you watch it. Check it out in the video above.

what a great video – I feel so happy for him!
The first time I heard him sing on the Voice I was a fan! Thank God Kelly Clarkston turned her chair. I tweeted Jake and told him I loved his voice and how he could belt it out. I put him on my team and the rest is history!
Much love Jake!
We’re so excited for him!
