Enjoy Hot Chicken at Home with This Hattie B’s Hot Chicken Recipe

Hattie B’s hot chicken is one of our favorite hot chicken joints in Nashville. But what if you’re not in Music City or can’t make a trip to Hattie B’s? This recipe can curb your craving when you just can’t get to the eatery.

Food Network posted their Hattie B’s hot chicken recipe on their website but you’ll have to devote some time to cooking. It takes almost nine hours to get that spicy taste but you’ll really only be cooking for half an hour. This recipe makes four servings so invite some friends over (and have them bring the cold beer).

You’ll start by dry-brining the poultry. Once you do that, you’ll let it sit overnight or for up to 24 hours. Next, you make the dip and dredge the chicken. Then the chicken is ready for frying! You’ll want to set the deep fryer to 325 degrees (we swear by this Hamilton Beach professional deep fryer). Lastly, you make the spicy coating. This part is pivotal so make sure you follow the recipe to a T.

Head to the Food Network website for the full recipe. Let us know what you think in the comments below and head to Hattie B’s if you’re in the area. Their website has the entire menu — complete with their spice choices.
