Hailee Steinfeld is one of the many people who has been affected by Keaton Jones’ viral video about bullying. So, on Sunday night, she sent him a message.
Let’s start from the beginning. Jones’ mom, Kimberly, shared a heartbreaking video from her son on Friday morning. In the clip, her son is crying and telling his mom about being bullied at school. He says the bullies called him ugly, said he had no friends and even threw milk on him. To put it simply: The video will break your heart. You’ll also notice that despite it all, Jones’ character and charm shines through. He’s positive despite everything he’s been through.
Along with the clip, his mom wrote, “We all know how it feels to want to belong but only a select few know how it really feels not to belong anywhere.”
The video has since gone viral with actors, musicians and football players reaching out to the boy. Steinfeld is one of the many who has reached out. She posted a video message to him on Sunday night ā asking him to be her date to a movie premiere.
āHey Keaton, it’s Hailee here. I just wanted to say I think you are amazing and what makes you special is that there is only one you. I would love for you, Keaton Jones, to be my date to theĀ Pitch Perfect 3Ā premiere on Tuesday,” she says in the sweet video before asking him to DM her to plan his trip.
