    Grand Ole Opry to Celebrate John Anderson on Aug. 6

    Grand Ole Opry will celebrate the influence and music of country music legend John Anderson on the Aug. 6 show.

    The Opry will bring to life a portion of the upcoming album release Something Borrowed, Something New: A Tribute To John Anderson, which is scheduled for release Friday, August 5 by Easy Eye Sound. Scheduled to perform are John Anderson with special guests Dan Auerbach and Tyler ChildersGillian Welch & David RawlingsSierra HullElizabeth Cook, and more.

    The celebration of the album will also air live that night as Opry Live on Circle Television and will livestream via Circle’s social channels, while the Opry show will air in its entirety on WSM Radio, opry.com/wsmonline.com, and SiriusXM’s Willie’s Roadhouse channel.

    Something Borrowed, Something New: A Tribute To John Anderson
    , scheduled for release Aug. 5 by Easy Eye Sound, includes a collection of Anderson songs by Tyler Childers, Eric Church, Brent Cobb, Luke Combs, Sierra Ferrell, Sierra Hull, Jamey Johnson, Ashley McBryde, Del McCoury, Brothers Osborne, John Prine, Nathaniel Rateliff, Sturgill Simpson, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings. The album was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and David Ferguson, the same duo who produced Anderson’s 2020 album, Years.
