Georgia On My Mind 2018 Includes Peach Pickers, Randy Houser + More

"This is as close to a Georgia homecoming as you are going to get in Tennessee."

Gretsch Presents the 5th Annual Georgia On My Mind benefit concert is coming up and there’s a star-studded lineup.

This year’s concert is June 26 at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium and benefits the Georgia Music Foundation. According to the website, the foundation “fosters an appreciation for the state’s rich music heritage by supporting programs of preservation, education and outreach.” This year’s show is hosted by SiriusXM’s Storme Warren and is led by The Peach Pickers. The Peach Pickers are Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip.

“This is as close to a Georgia homecoming as you are going to get in Tennessee,” says Davidson, who also chairs the Georgia Music Foundation Board of Directors. “The popularity and success of this event is so rewarding because it celebrates our homegrown talent and allows us to give back to deserving music education programs.”

John Berry, Sugarland‘s Kristian Bush, Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser are just a few of the performers. Trea Landon, Lauren Alaina, Travis Denning, Chris Janson and Michael Ray are also on the bill. Songwriters Pat Alger and Tony Arata will also be on hand. They’re the recipients of the Georgia Music Foundation Flamekeeper Award, which is presented to those whose hard work preserves and promotes Georgia’s musical roots and traditions.

This is an event you don’t want to miss. A ton of talented individuals will take the stage and it’s for a great cause. There will also be surprises. Tickets usually sell out so grab yours now. They’re available through Ticketmaster or the Ryman’s official website.
