George Strait has been melting hearts since he released his first single way back in 1981. The King of Country has had a whopping 60 No. 1 hits alone, many of which are sweet love songs sure to woo any woman.
King Strait loves a good love song (almost as much as he loves a heart-wrenching breakup song), so it was tough picking his most romantic tracks. He’s known for his songs about the love story we all want, whether it’s one from childhood or a love considered to be “true.”
“True”

Strait released “True” in 1998. It’s an upbeat song where a man is professing the “true” love he has for his significant other. Surprisingly, this wasn’t one of Strait’s No. 1 hits, but it came close. It peaked at No. 2.
“Carried Away”
“Carried Away” came in 1996 and it was Strait’s 30th No. 1 hit. It also earned him a Single of the Year nomination at the 1997 Country Music Association Awards.
“Carrying Your Love with Me”
Strait’s “Carrying Your Love With Me” was released in 1997 as a single from the album of the same name. This was another one of his No. 1 hits and helped give him even more success in his legendary career.
“Check Yes or No”
Does it get any cuter than “Check Yes or No”? The sweet song is a love story from childhood. A little boy now has his lifelong love all because he asked her to “check yes or no.” Aww!
“I Cross My Heart”
“I Cross My Heart” was another No. 1 for Strait and it was the first single from Pure Country. It was also featured in the finale for the movie of the same name. This one gets us right in the feels every single time. [td_smart_list_end]
