During the Pirates & Princesses event, guests celebrate the fantasy worlds of brave buccaneers and regal royalty with family-friendly activities throughout the resort. Here’s a look at activities planned for the Pirates & Princesses summer-long celebration:
• Pirate & Princess Academy
Young guests can step into a fantasy world to experience the story of Princess Magnolia in this live interactive show along with taking an official princess oath to join the royal court or pirate pledge to become an honorary member of the captain’s crew.
• The Captain’s Hidden Treasure Escape Room
A secret hideaway filled with puzzles, riddles, and brainteasers is home to Gaylord Opryland’s summer escape room experience. In “The Captain’s Hidden Treasure Escape Room”, guests hunt for clues to escape while encountering relics from past journeys and the notorious treasure-hunters who scoured the seven seas to retrieve them.
• Three Sheets Speakeasy
Ahoy! Pirates in search of tasty cocktails will want to visit the “Three Sheets Speakeasy”, but they’ll need the secret word to enter! A new menu of cocktails created by Gaylord Opryland’s mixologists provides plenty of exotic thirst-quenchers.
• The Shiny Stash Scavenger Hunt
Pirates love hunting for hidden treasure, and guests can join in the fun in “The Shiny Stash Scavenger Hunt.” Searching high and low throughout the resort for treasure hidden by the Princess, the interactive scavenger hunt challenges guests to solve riddles and puzzles that lead them to the kingdom’s riches.
• Treasure Trove Art Studio
Guests can let their inner artist shine while creating pirate and princess-inspired arts and crafts
• Royal Tots Tea & Treats
Indulge in tea and treats while interacting with the extraordinary Princess Magnolia.
• Delta Riverboat Ride
Travel down a scenic river winding through the resort’s beautiful 4.5-acre Delta Atrium. Marvel at the natural beauty of the thousands of tropical plants while learning about the unique flora and fish.
• Lost Treasure Flatboat Ride
Climb aboard this flatboat ride in the resort’s Delta Atrium, to search for rare and priceless gems. Make sure to keep an eye out for clues to find the loot!
• Battle for Blue Diamond Boat Ride
Be part of the action and enjoy the show on this flatboat ride as the blimey pirates and sword mistresses invade the Delta River. The bounty may not be your typical treasure, but it will be one filled with magic and fun!
• Buccaneer Bash Pool Party
Take the fun outside with Jolly Roger and its pirate crew for a Buccaneer Bash Pool Party with music and games at the Cascades outdoor pool.
• Royal Carriages
Be treated like royalty on a private carriage ride. Guests are also greeted by Princess Magnolia and will also be able to take a picture with her allowing for a true fairytale experience.
• Fantasy & Folklore Delta Atrium & Fountain Show
Marvel at mesmerizing fountain shows taking place in the resort’s Delta atrium, which incorporates water, music, and lights.
• Wildlife Rescue – An Augmented Reality Experience presented by bubly™ This virtual adventure highlights indigenous animals and, with the magic of augmented reality, brings them to life before your eyes.
• Animal Encounters
Guests can enjoy up-close encounters during a special educational opportunity to interact with and learn about a variety of incredible creatures and their unique personalities.
• Horticultural Trek
Perfect for those with a green thumb, this self-guided tour is a great way to learn about the resort’s extraordinary flora and tropical plants in its three atriums.
• Selfie Spots
Guests can shoot their shot with a self-guided selfie tour incorporating various unique backdrops.
• The Royal Treatment
Guests visiting Relâche Spa at Gaylord Opryland can enjoy summer treatments, like a “Love Her With Lavender” package in May, or a Father’s Day “Relax & Restore” package in June with body, face, and nail treatments designed for men. May 14 through September 5, guests can also enjoy “Royal Kids Spa Treatments” including a pedicure service or a princess up-do that is worthy of a tiara.
• General Jackson Showboat
Hop aboard Nashville’s famous 300-foot paddlewheel riverboat for a scenic summertime lunch or dinner cruise down the Cumberland River. Guests can look forward to a delightful Southern meal and world-class live musical performances.
• Family Water Park Fun, Year-Round!
Guests can highlight their summer – and any season — with family fun at SoundWaves. Open year-round, the upscale water attraction is an exclusive amenity for overnight guests of Gaylord Opryland who purchase a package including the attraction.
