Frist Art Museum wants to help kids get creative on Earth Day this year. They’re offering virtual art activities with the goal of helping children see the beauty in nature.
The first video is a Color in Nature video that includes a “color family flowers” activity. The one-minute video is an introduction to the activity that you can do at home with crayons, scissors, glue, white paper, black paper, a pencil and their printable PDF.
The second activity is called Painting En Plein Air. This is another short video (approximately one-minute) for you to watch with your kids. Once you finish the visual, you can print their accompanying PDF. For this one, you’ll need to take your kids outside and let them work on art similar to their surroundings.
Both of these videos (and more) are available here on the Frist’s website. Just look for the accompanying titles.
We’d also like to take a minute to remind you that organizations like the Frist are struggling at this time. If you’re able, they have a place where you can give them a monetary donation on their website.
