Franz Ferdinand Set to End 2018 Summer Tour in Nashville

Franz Ferdinand are hitting the road this spring and summer and their North American tour ends right here in Nashville. On Aug. 14, they’ll play Music City’s Cannery Ballroom.

Alex Kapranos, Bob Hardy, Paul Thomson, Julian Corrie and Dino Bardot (better known as Franz Ferdinand) have already kicked off their tour and they have lots to come. Their tour brings the band from Boston to Wisconsin and from Arizona to North Carolina. They already have sold out shows in D.C., Minneapolis, Santa Ana and San Diego. They’ve also already sold out two shows at New York’s Brooklyn Steel. That all happens before they make their way to Nashville on Aug. 14.

This tour is in support of the band’s most recent album, Always Ascending, which was released on Feb. 9. Always Ascending is Franz Ferdinand’s fifth studio album, they recorded it at RAK Studios, London and Motorbass in Paris. French producer, Philippe Zdar, worked with the band. Zdar has a lot of impressive work including his work with the Beastie Boys, Phoenix and Cassius. This album is a rebirth for the band with new ideas and a fresh sound, even though it’s still that Franz Ferdinand we’ve all come to know and love.
