On Feb. 20, Kurt Cobain would have turned 51 years young. To remember him on his birthday, Frances Bean and Courtney Love took to Instagram.
Cobain’s only daughter, Frances Bean, shared a couple of sweet photos of her father over the years. In the first, he’s kneeling down beside her at a kiddie pool. In the second, he’s gazing into the camera. Along with the images, she wrote, “I hope they don’t have the internet wherever you are. I feel like that would be counterproductive. Regardless, Happy Birthday to an angel.”
Love also shared a photo of herself with Cobain, her former husband. The image is a black and white one of the former lovers canoodling. She wrote, “happy birthday baby god I miss you” with the photo.
Cobain’s death rocked the music world in 1994 when he died at the young age of 27.
