The 14th annual Tennessee Local Food Summit has launched ticket sales for its annual event, slated for December 1-3, 2023, at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee. This year’s conference invites farmers, gardeners, educators, activists, entrepreneurs and food system stakeholders to gather, learn, connect, and work together to build a more resilient community food network. Speakers include Terence Courtney of Southern Federation of Cooperatives, Chris Smith author of The Whole Okra, Amyrose Fall of Virginia Free Farm, Petra Leonard and T. Marie King of Jones Valley Teaching Farm and more. . The weekend will also include an interactive art installation, networking opportunities, a vendor trade show, and for the first time ever, The Phila Awards ceremony. Attendees will enjoy farm fresh meals sourced from Middle Tennessee farmers and artisans, network and learn about relevant local businesses at the Summit vendor trade show, sit in for cooking demonstrations, and participate in seed swaps with fellow attendees.
