PopUp HiFi Presents Miles Davis at 100 Years at Anzie Blue

Anzie Blue invites the public to Miles Davis At 100, a curated, high-fidelity listening event on Wed, June 10th, from 4 to 7 pm. This open-house celebration, bringing together great music, exceptional sound, and community, is presented by PopUp HiFi.

PopUp HiFi is part of a new wave of communal listening sessions in public spaces. The club uses high-quality audio components assembled through the generosity of its members, as well as its “house” system. The members of PopUp HiFi are Music First Audiophiles who love great music and good sound. June 10th will feature a pair of classic American-made Klipsch Cornwall loudspeakers and a home-built tube amplification system that will treat a mix of vinyl and digital playback with the utmost respect.

The listening party will be curated and hosted by music journalist, radio host, and author Craig Havighurst. “May 26 was the 100th birthday of a musical genius who should be central to our idea of what America means in our 250th year,” Havighurst says. “We’ll play selections from the key eras of his ever-changing career.”

Anzie Blue is planning hi-fi listening parties for July and August as well, kicking off a residency for music fans who want to experience curated music in a sound-rich environment.

All ages are welcome at no cost. Drinks will be served at a cash bar.
