Nashville Rep Presents Ingram New Works Production of Overnight at the Museum

Nashville Repertory Theatre proudly announces the Ingram New Works Project production of Overnight at the Museum, starring Darius and DaMarcus, a riveting new play by acclaimed playwright and actor Nia Akilah Robinson.
A special one-night-only showing of the new play will be staged on March 14, 2026, at 7:30 PM CT at the Nashville PBS Building, located at 161 Rains Avenue in Nashville, TN.
This production continues Nashville Rep’s long-standing commitment to developing bold, new work and amplifying exceptional voices shaping the future of American theatre.
Set on the eve of a grand opening in a gentrified American neighborhood, Overnight at the Museum, starring Darius and DaMarcus follows two Black overnight museum security guards who steal Ghanaian artifacts from a “Neo-African Museum” and return them to Ghana. Told with humor and imagination, the play explores questions ofcultural ownership, repatriation, and the complex realities behind museum collections. Both a heist story and a profound meditation, the play asks who gets to tell, and keep, Black history.
