JBJ’s Nashville Hosts 16th Annual Strings & Stories Benefiting High Hopes

Broadway is built on music, but the nights people remember most are usually about something bigger than the songs themselves.

On Thursday, June 11, JBJ’s Nashville will open its doors for the 16th Annual Strings & Stories fundraiser benefiting High Hopes Development Center, bringing together artists, songwriters, families, and supporters for an intimate evening where Nashville’s songwriting community rallies around one of Middle Tennessee’s most impactful nonprofits. This year’s lineup features acclaimed country artist Kimberly Kelly, hit songwriter Brett Tyler, and a special performance from LANCO’s Jared Hampton, whose connection to High Hopes is deeply personal as a High Hopes parent.

For one night, the energy inside JBJ’s shifts from the typical Broadway experience into something far more meaningful. The room becomes less about performance and more about connection, with the stories behind the songs carrying the same emotional weight as the mission itself. What has made Strings & Stories resonate for sixteen years is its ability to strip Nashville back to its core: honest storytelling, community, and people showing up for each other in a real way.

For more than 41 years, High Hopes has helped children with disabilities, developmental delays, and complex needs receive life-changing early support through inclusive preschool education and pediatric therapy programs. Families across Middle Tennessee have seen firsthand how that support can completely reshape a child’s future, which is why this event continues to bring together artists, educators, therapists, parents, and community leaders year after year.

The evening offers guests a rare, up-close experience with the writers and performers behind some of country music’s biggest songs, all while directly supporting High Hopes’ mission to serve more than 1,000 children annually across 17 Middle Tennessee counties.
