Just when you think you’ve seen it all in country music, ERNEST slides in with a Snoop Dogg collab that’s as smooth as his Cadillac DeVille. And somehow, it works really well.
“Gettin’ Gone” is the first release from the newly launched DeVille Records, and it sets the bar sky high (pun intended) with a fun, twangy vibe and mile-high charisma. Co-written by ERNEST himself, the track blends laid-back country storytelling with a Snoop feature that feels less like a gimmick and more like two dudes genuinely vibing over a shared love for good times and cool cars.
The official music video, out now, seals the deal. It shows the unlikely duo cruising through Nashville in ERNEST’s beloved Caddy. They’re riding past Castle Recording Studios and Broadway like they’ve been road-tripping together forever. It’s casual, it’s cool, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
“Gettin’ Gone” is just a taste of what’s to come from Cadillac Sessions (dropping May 9), a mixtape-style project blending honky tonk, Western swing, ‘90s country, and more, all filtered through DeVille Records’ genre-blurring lens. And if this first single is any indication, we’re in for a wild ride.
