East Side Banh Mi Team Announces ESP, Vietnamese Street Food Concept

Gracie Nguyen and Chad Newton, husband and wife duo behind East Side Banh Mi, just revealed their newest project. ESP (East Side Pho) is a Vietnamese street food concept coming to East Nashville in late summer.

“We have been absolutely blown away by the support and excitement Nashville has had for East Side Banh Mi since opening, especially during such a hard year for restaurants,” Nguyen says. “We’ve had the idea for this street food-style soup stall concept for a while, and we were thrilled when our friend, Tyler Cauble, approached us to be part of The Wash. We knew this innovative concept was a perfect fit. We’re so grateful that Nashville has welcomed Chad and me with open arms, and we can’t wait to show this amazing city what else we can do!”

Chef Nguyen created the new menu that features a plethora of mouth-watering dishes. Of course, they’ll have a variety of pho but there are other options, as well. Bun bo hue, a spicy beef and noodle soup, is on the menu along with chicken hai nam, a chicken and rice dish. There is also pho broth sippers. Think of the ESP menu as a blend of Vietnamese soups, noodles, salads and snacks.

ESP will be in The Wash, the forthcoming open-bay food hall, at 1101 McKennie Avenue.
