Delta Rae are back! The folk-rock sextet announced they’ll release their first album in five years on March 20. The album titled, The Light, is the first of two albums they’ll release in two years.
The Light is being described as Delta Rae’s “most emotionally robust” record. On the album, they take on life’s biggest mysteries. They used the Tarot’s major arcana as inspiration and they returned to their roots to create it honestly. They traveled to a home in the North Carolina woods to write sincere music that details their lives and emotions. On the new album, you’ll find doo-wop vibes with folk sounds and so much more. The record finds them, once again, bending genres in a unique way.
The Light was created as a sister album to The Dark, which will drop in 2021. For now, they’re focused on the first record and supporting it through a Northeast tour which kicks off in April. More information on that tour is here.
