December 2025 is here, and Nashville is full of festive vibes, live music, and can’t-miss events that’ll get you in the holiday spirit. Mark your calendar, gather your crew, and soak in the magic.
December 2025 Events in Nashville:
Dec. 1 – Drunk Dickens Presents: A Christmas Carol at Third Coast Comedy Club is a 90-minute “mostly” scripted retelling of the classic. Each show has a new lead (Scrooge) who hasn’t rehearsed and has been drinking! That makes it even more fun. Find out more and reserve your tickets here.
Dec. 2 – If you’re not in the holiday spirit yet, let Trisha Yearwood and the Nashville Symphony change that. Christmastime with Trisha Yearwood and the Nashville Symphony is Dec. 2 (and Dec. 3) at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Pick a section and get your tickets.
Dec. 3 – Spend your Wednesday doing something unique at the Centennial Performing Arts Studios. Chromatic Musical Improv Show starts at 7:20 PM, and tickets are free. Reserve your spot here.
Dec. 4 – Cheekwood Lights returns, inviting you to wander through its twinkling garden of lights. You’ll see why this is a beloved Nashville tradition as soon as you arrive. Reserve your space for Dec. 4 or for another day before Jan. 4 here.
Dec. 5 – Another local holiday favorite is Home Alone in Concert with the Nashville Symphony. This year, the fun starts on Dec. 5 and runs through Dec. 7. Buy your tickets here and hurry, the tickets are going fast!
Dec. 6 – Bring the whole family out for a fun-filled Saturday morning at the Tennessee State Museum. Carols, Cookies, and Crafts is from 10 AM to 2:30 PM. Check out the full schedule of events here.
Dec. 7 – Ricky Skaggs & the Kentucky Thunder Christmas will be a night of incredible musicians. You can expect acoustic Christmas classics and even sing-alongs! Tickets are on sale here.
Dec. 8 – OK Go is bringing their kaleidoscope chaos to Nashville, wrapping up their North American tour right here. They’re rolling in with a brand-new album, And the Adjacent Possible, and LA Exes will set the stage. Tickets are here.
Dec. 9 – Get outside and soak up some nature with a Centennial Stroll & Roll on Dec. 9. This 45-minute guided wander is led by naturalist Jessa Tremblay, who’ll point out the park’s shifting seasons, hidden wildlife, and the stories growing right under our feet. It’s free, family-friendly, and a lovely excuse to stretch your legs by the Parthenon’s lakeside. Secure your registration here.
Dec. 10 – Amy Grant and Vince Gill return to the Ryman for their beloved Christmas at the Ryman residency, celebrating 15 years of holiday magic. This year’s 12-show run features both matinee and evening performances, filling the Mother Church with classics, harmonies, and a tradition that draws fans from all over to experience. Dec. 11 – Assembly Food Hall & Skydeck kicks off its second annual Christmas Market on Dec. 11. The market runs Thursdays through Sundays from 11 AM to 5 PM through Dec. 21, but opening day is the perfect time to stroll in and soak up the season. More info is available here.
Dec. 12 – Drew and Ellie Holcomb bring their beloved Neighborly Christmas to the Schermerhorn. With The Neighbors beside them, the night glows with harmony, heart, and that unmistakable Holcomb warmth. Read my interview with Drew about the show here and get your tickets here.
Dec. 13 – Get ready to laugh with two chances to see Nate Bargatze‘s Big Dumb Eyes Tour at Bridgestone Arena on Dec. 13. He has a 3 PM show and a 7 PM show. There are also opportunities to see him on Dec. 12. Tickets are here.
Dec. 14 – Ring in the season with members of the Nashville Symphony’s brass, percussion, and organ sections as they fill the Schermerhorn with festive cheer. This family-friendly concert features beloved holiday selections like The Nutcracker Suite, March of the Toys, Joy to the World, and Sleigh Ride. Dec. 15 – Heat up your holiday season with a little New Orleans magic as the Preservation Hall Jazz Band brings its iconic Creole Christmas show to the Schermerhorn. Expect timeless NOLA classics, festive favorites reimagined with that unmistakable Preservation Hall flair, and a joyful energy that turns the whole hall into a holiday parade. Get your tickets here.
Dec. 16 – It’ll feel like Christmas at The Bluebird Cafe on Dec. 16 with Mickey Guyton and friends! Tickets are currently sold out, but they will have some walk-up tickets available. More information is here.
Dec. 17 – Step into a world of holiday enchantment with NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet. This beloved tradition features an international cast, whimsical puppetry, and hand-crafted European costumes and sets. Tchaikovsky’s iconic score fills the air as this beautifully staged production invites you to revisit a simpler, joy-filled time. Tickets are on sale now.
Dec. 18 – Head to Chief’s on Broadway for a holiday celebration led by country trio Brassfield (brothers Bradley and Chadley Brassfield, joined by Jessie Rose Brassfield). Expect rich harmonies, classic Christmas favorites, and a cozy dose of country spirit that feels right at home on Broadway. Get your tickets.
Dec. 19 – Get your tickets for the ultimate holiday dance party! The Santa Rave is coming to Brooklyn Bowl on Dec. 19 for a mix of holiday hits, 2000s, 2010s remixes, and more! Get your tickets here.
Dec. 20 – Nashville Repertory Theatre presents It’s a Wonderful Life at TPAC’s James K. Polk Theater. You have lots of chances to check this one out, with the last show on Dec. 21. Get your family tickets here.
Dec. 21 – HEART is playing The Pinnacle just before the holidays. Get your tickets here (this is a great holiday event for the music lovers in your fam!).
Dec. 22 – Another holiday event for a great cause happens on Dec. 22 at 3rd and Lindsley. It’s Annie Sellick’s sixth annual Christmas benefit for Alive Hospice. Get your tickets for a night of big band here.
Dec. 23 – Get in the Motown Christmas spirit just a couple of days before the holiday at City Winery Nashville. Tickets start at just $30.

Dec. 26 – Head to one of our favorite movie theaters for a beloved classic, Home Alone! The Franklin Theatre has several showings for the classic movie, including a 1:30 PM showing on Dec. 26.
Dec. 27 – Stay home this Saturday and shop small with Nashville Noise Curated! We’re small and sustainable. Wear the music.
Dec. 28 – Saxophonist Don Aliquo leads a powerhouse quartet in an evening honoring the groundbreaking partnership of John Coltrane and McCoy Tyner. Expect soulful intensity, bold improvisation, and the unmistakable spirit of two jazz legends brought to life in Rudy’s warm, late-night glow. Tickets are $18.
