Country singer Daryle Singletary has been confirmed dead at the age of 46. According to reports, the singer died at his home in Nashville unexpectedly.
Sirius XM’s The Highway confirmed the news after unclear details started circling online. WKRN reports that he died at his Nashville home on Monday. The death was very unexpected.
Singletary is best known for his hits including, “Too Much Fun,” “I Let Her Lie” and “Amen Kind of Love.” The Georgia native was still touring and had several tour dates on the books this year. He just returned from a trip to Louisiana to play a show in Lafayette on Friday. He also performed at Mel Tillis’ memorial service earlier this year.
Once news of Singletary’s death was confirmed, the country music community took to social media to grieve. McAplin Entertainment said that they were “completely heartbroken to learn of the passing of our friend Daryle Singletary this morning. He was one of the best men we’ve had the privilege to meet and work with in this business, both professionally and personally.” Craig Campbell and Travis Tritt took to Twitter to express their condolences.
Stay tuned for updates to this story as it develops. Singletary leaves behind his wife, Holly, and their four children.
