This is one opening I am salivating over! East Nashville, get ready to spice things up. Curry Boys BBQ, the much-hyped Texas-meets-Thai mashup, is officially opening its doors on March 19 and I am already planning my first (and second, and third) visit. This fast-casual spot brings together the smoky magic of Texas barbecue with the rich, fragrant flavors of Thai curry. Think: brisket drenched in green curry, pulled pork swimming in Penang sauce, and a hot dog smothered in curry queso. Yes, please.
A Cult-Favorite Comes to Nashville
The masterminds behind this glorious flavor collision (Sean Wen, Andrew Ho, and Andrew Samia) have already built a massive following in San Antonio, where Curry Boys BBQ has earned serious foodie street cred. The James Beard-nominated trio has now teamed up with Adam Lathan of Double Wide Hospitality to bring their first out-of-state location right here to East Nashville.
Curry Boys BBQ will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, with dine-in, carry-out, and third-party delivery. But let’s be honest, you’re going to want to eat this with a cocktail in hand.
What’s on the Menu?
Let’s start with shareables because, honestly, you’re going to want to try everything. There’s the Pulled Pork Nachos (hello, curry queso), and a Thai Green Salad for a refreshing crunch. But the real star? Curry BBQ Bowls.
- Brisket Smoke Show – Oak-smoked prime brisket meets rich, velvety green curry.
- The Tony Porker – Pulled pork + Penang curry = pure happiness.
- Good Luck Cluck – Smoky chicken thighs drenched in yellow curry.
- Curry Queso Hot Dog – A smoked pork link in a Martin’s bun, covered in curry queso, onions, cilantro, and shallots.
And let’s not forget sides like Cold Chili Garlic Noodles, Curry Creamed Corn, and Green Curry Potato Salad. Because balance.
The Drinks Are Just as Exciting
Pair that bold, spice-packed meal with a drink from their full bar, featuring beer, wine, and cocktails. Highlights include the Ginger Lemongrass Margarita, Thai Chili Lemonade (this sounds like my dream drink!), and a Yuzu Whiskey Cooler. There will also be a solid selection of beers from Thailand, Texas, and Tennessee.
The Vibes: Retro Meets Thai
Set in a historic East Nashville home, Curry Boys BBQ leans into Thai-inspired colors with warm pinks, reds, and golds. But the real magic happens on their year-round patio, which gives total tropical hideaway vibes with lanterns, greenery, and breezy seating. Inside, expect hand-painted signs, thrifted decor, and custom Spaghetti Western-style movie posters (because why not?).
Mark Your Calendars
East Nashville’s food scene is about to get a whole lot bolder, smokier, and spicier. Curry Boys BBQ officially opens March 19. Go see them hungry, bring friends, and maybe wear stretchy pants. I will be.
