Creature Comforts Expands Distribution to Nashville Market

The following is from a press release:

Creature Comforts Brewing Co., an Athens, Georgia-based B-Corp certified craft brewery, announces has expanded to Nashville! They now pour six of their year-round brews throughout Nashville.

“As a part of our strategy of being a great and growing company, we put a lot of careful consideration into our expansion plans,” said CEO Chris Herron. “Nashville has a quickly developing craft beer market, an incredibly vibrant music and culinary scene, and a lot of population cross-pollination with our home state of Georgia, making it a natural evolution of our limited distribution footprint. Nashville will be only our second out-of-state market in over 8 years, and we will continue to be very thoughtful, intentional, and strategic as we select markets to further our purpose of fostering human connection.”

Four beers from Creature Comforts’ core year-round lineup will be available on draft in Nashville locations: Athena, a tart German-style wheat beer; Automatic, a bright and refreshing Pale Ale; Bibo, a crisp and dry Pilsner; and Tropicália, a balanced and juicy IPA.

Creature Comforts has selected Lipman Brothers as its distributor partner in Nashville. Established in 1939, Lipman Brothers was the first distributor of wine and spirits in Tennessee. Sharing a commitment to quality, Lipman made for a natural partner for the brewery’s entrance into the Nashville market.

“Not only does Creature Comforts make great beer, but have a broader view of the business beyond brewing beer,” said Business Unit Director – Beer, Ian Wolczyk. “Their status as B Corp, priority on philanthropy, and involvement with the culinary culture make a great partnership with Lipman Brothers. It goes much deeper than just transactional.  We are more than excited to share in their future.”

The market expansion comes just after the brewery’s eighth anniversary, and ahead of its plans to open a second brewery and taproom in Los Angeles later this year. Nashville launch events are slated to take place the week of July 11, and details will be shared on the brewery’s social media channels.
