Country singer CJ Solar is readying his new EP, Get Away With It. The five-track EP includes his newest single, “Airplane.”
Solar’s new EP is available for pre-order now but it doesn’t drop until April 13. The Baton Rouge native will celebrate the music in his hometown of Baton Rouge and his “adopted hometown.” He’ll play the Basement East here in Nashville on April 18.
“I am so excited for this new music to come out and to be able to debut it in my hometown of Baton Rouge and my adopted hometown of Nashville,” he says. “Everything I do is for the love of the music and the sake of the song, and I hope that comes through in this new EP.”
All five tracks were co-written by Solar, who has songwriting credits for many other artists. The first track, “American Girls,” also credits Michael Hardy, Jake Mitchell and Michael Hobby (A Thousand Horses). Mitchell also co-wrote the title track with Solar and Derek Sutherland. Travis Denning, Chris Stevens, Westin Davis, Rick Huckaby, Andrew DeRoberts and Bob DiPiero also co-wrote songs on the EP.
Celebrate Get Away WIth It on April 18 at the Basement East. Tickets are free and available now. Pre-order the album now on iTunes.
