Cheekwood is getting fall fever! Starting Sept. 23, they’ll celebrate all things fall with their six-week long festival, Cheekwood Harvest.
Temperatures are cooling off in Nashville and Cheekwood is ready to celebrate autumn’s arrival in a big way. Cheekwood Harvest will include 5,000 chrysanthemums, an 11-foot-tall pumpkin house, a beer garden and a brand new 15-foot-tall mum tree!
“We’re thrilled to be bringing back guest favorites like the pumpkin house and beer garden to Cheekwood Harvest, and also to be introducing new elements like the mum tree,” Nathalie Lavine, Cheekwood’s director of education and program, says. “The cooler temperatures and six weekends of events make this a highly anticipated festival that is truly loved by the Nashville community.”
There are so many fall events during the festival that there’s truly something for everyone. The pumpkin house allows visitors to walk inside a house made out of pumpkins! You can even buy one during your visit if you find the perfect pumpkin. The beer garden is also there for some extra relaxation. It will be open Thursday through Sunday with craft beer, bluegrass music and light snacks. The mum tree will add a little extra something to the beer garden this year.
In addition to the 15-foot-tall mum tree, there are also over 5,000 chrysanthemums on display throughout Cheekwood. Decorated scarecrows will also be around the gardens during the festival.
Cheekwood Harvest begins Sept. 23 with featured programs every Saturday for six weeks. For more information on the scheduled events and prices for Cheekwood Harvest, visit their official website.
