The Chad Cooke Band is a four-part country band hailing from Houston. Together, they’ve brought their 90s throwback sound and harmonies to honky-tonks all over. They’ve scored Top 50 hits on Texas Radio before eventually setting off to Music City to record music in 2018. Their sound is evolving and growing and their new song, “Cowboy’s Cowgirl,” might be their catchiest one yet.
The new track was written by all the members of the Chad Cooke Band (Mike Neyra, Chad Cooke, Kevin Pool and Dallas McGilberry) as well as Jordan Walker and Andy Albert.
“We wrote ‘Cowboy’s Cowgirl’ on the first day of our trip back to Nashville in January 2020. Co-writer Jordan Walker heard us discussing ideas for a cowboy song and said he had an idea earlier in the week for a song title called ‘Cowboy’s Cowgirl’ so we picked that theme and ran with it,” the band says. “We were also lucky enough to have Andy Albert on this session with us. As the session progressed, there was so much energy in the room — stomping on the floor and belting out the chorus. We knew instantly that we were going to cut it. We’re very excited about releasing brand new music and that ‘Cowboy’s Cowgirl’ is the first of many more to come. Stay tuned!”
