After 13 long years, country superstar Carrie Underwood returned to the stage where it all started. She took the American Idol stage to perform on Sunday night.
Underwood took the stage to perform an old favorite with Top 5 and to perform her new track, “Cry Pretty.” She also mentored the Idol hopefuls and said she saw a lot of herself in them. Underwood won the fourth season of the singing competition. Since then she’s won Grammys and ACM Awards. She’s also gone on to become the “most successful” Idol winner ever, as Ryan Seacrest mentioned during the show.
