Bob Newhart Joins 2019 Nashville Comedy Festival Lineup

Bob Newhart is the newest addition to the 2019 Nashville Comedy Festival. He’ll bring his award-winning stand-up show to TPAC on April 10.

Newhart’s impressive career has spanned 56 years, including multiple TV shows, 14 feature films and millions of albums sold worldwide. He received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, presented by the Kennedy Center. Newhart was also inducted into the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ Hall of Fame.

Although that’s already quite the resume, he’s experienced a lot more success in both TV and film. He’s hosted The Tonight Show 87 times. His early variety show earned both an Emmy and a Peabody Award. He’s appeared in more than 14 feature films including Elf, Catch 22, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever and Legally Blonde. Newhart has also voiced characters for major animated films.

Despite his successful TV and film career, Newhart has never lost his love for stand-up comedy. His classic routines have stood the test of time. He’ll bring those routines, and more, to TPAC’s Jackson Hall on April 10.
