Nashville-based beverage line, Better Than Booze, has launched flavor-forward, enhanced spectrum, CBD mocktails, founded with a mission to revolutionize social drinking as we know it. Created using hemp-derived CBD and THC, Better Than Booze provides the same mood-elevating magic of alcohol, but with a delightfully light, yet generously flavored taste, and without the negative effects of a hangover. The emulsion that powers Better Than Booze uses a naturally derived surfactant system that provides minimal flavor impact, while having enough stability to handle traditional beverage manufacturing. The process uses saponins and lysolecithins from natural plant sources, and introduces them to extremely high pressure homogenization to create the nano emulsion. The hemp extract used is fully traceable back to Certified Organic biomass. Better Than Booze uses a patent-pending solvent-less refinement technique to enhance the minor cannabinoid content, resulting in a more impactful effect for consumers. Co-founder and CEO of Better Than Booze, Drea Groeschel, is not only a lifelong entrepreneur and local Nashvillian, but also a mom who sought to find a way to unwind at the end of the day without the foggy haze of alcohol and its negative effects. In 2022, Better Than Booze was born from this desire to swap out her regular glass of wine for a “Better” alternative.

This fall, Better Than Booze is revolutionizing the shopping experience, implementing the first-ever Tokinomo robotic point of sale system to be utilized in the United States, beginning in Nashville. While consumers are used to flashy end-cap displays, rarely does that end-cap provide an experience with motion and voice activation. Tokinomo robots provide an interactive experience through motion sensors which wiggle cans as shoppers walk by, followed by voice activations from several familiar voices including award-winning country music duo, Maddie & Tae, and Nashville sports announcer and radio personality, Paul McCann, among many others.
