Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz started the new decade with big news. The couple announced the birth of their first child, a baby girl, on social media.
The married couple shared the news with a note to fans, signed by them both. “Happy New Year from the Maddens!” the note starts. “We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden.”
The couple writes that they are “overjoyed” but they’ll be keeping Raddix’s life very private. If you were hoping to catch a glimpse of the baby girl, you’re out of luck.
“We also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one’s privacy. So we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really, really cute.”

Diaz and Madden were married in January of 2015 but have kept their lives very private. We’ll occasionally hear them gush about each other (like in Diaz’s Instagram post below) but, for the most part, they keep to themselves.
