Ben Proudfoot is the creator of Breakwater Studios, an award-winning film production company based in Los Angeles. His latest short film, A Concerto is a Conversation, which he co-directed with Kris Bowers, was accepted to debut at the Sundance Film Festival in 2021.
Proudfoot has dedicated his time within the world of film to highlight some of the most important untold stories. In A Concerto is a Conversation, we follow composer Kris Bowers and his grandfather Horace Bowers Sr. Although Horace became a successful businessman, his journey wasn’t a smooth one. Kris and Horace talk about the uphill battle it took to get there, from racism to homelessness. The triumphed journey showcases one man’s power not to let those around him hold him back from being successful.
