Behind Miranda Lambert’s Wildcard is a short film that chronicles Miranda Lambert‘s new record. It’s coming exclusively to Apple Music on Nov. 4.
The short film is a personal invitation into Lambert’s new world. It’s described as an “adventurous, creative playground which finds her ruminating on her Texas roots while exploring new horizons.” Now that the country singer is dividing her time between Nashville and New York, her art is evolving. She discusses how she made Wildcard (she took an approach similar to her debut), taking breaks to aide creativity, becoming more confident and blending genres.
“Country it’s what I do, it’s who I am — but I love rock and roll,” she told Apple Music.
The short film includes appearances from the album’s producer, Jay Joyce, and co-writers Natalie Hemby, Ashley Monroe, Luke Dick and The Love Junkies, which are comprised of Liz Rose, Lori McKenna and Hillary Lindsey.
Wildcard drops Nov. 1, with the shortcoming just a few days later. It’s already the most pre-added country album by a female artist on Apple Music of all time.
