Becky Buller is a multi-talented bluegrass artist — virtuoso if you will. She plays the fiddle. She sings. She writes music and she’s pretty great at it all. In fact, she’s a 10-time IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Award-winning musician and she has a brand new live music video.
The incredible new visual was shot at the South Jackson Civic Center in Tullahoma and, if you think you’re not a bluegrass fan, you may be converted. It features Buller with her band and the 10-minute video actually makes viewers feel like they’re in the front row watching all of these talented musicians. It captures the live music experience which is not an easy feat.
Although the song isn’t Buller’s original, it does have a special place in her heart.
“‘Ride On By’ was written by my friend Dick Kimmel. I grew up listening to him sing it with his bluegrass band back home in Minnesota,” she says. “Dick taught my dad how to play the mandolin, effectively getting my entire family into bluegrass music. The band and I have had a lot of fun turning this song into an extended jam. Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we love playing it.”
We certainly enjoyed it. If you want to check out more from Buller, she just released her 13-track record, Distance and Time. You can listen to that (and follow her on Spotify) here.
that was great!
