    Americanafest 2023: Showcases You Can’t Miss!

    Americanafest is just around the corner, taking place Sept. 19 – Sept. 23 in Nashville. We’ll be onhand bringing you gorgeous imagery from our friend, Will Payne Harrison. In the meantime, here are some of the showcases we can’t wait to check out!

    Sept. 19 – Change the Conversation’s Stella Prince + Friends

    Change The Conversation (Leslie Fram, Tracy Gershon, Beverly Keel) presents “Stella Prince & Friends,” Nashville’s all-female Folk/Americana event held at The Underdog. Prince hosts with performers Isa Burke, Julie Williams, Maya de Vitry, Phoebe Hunt and Sydney Adams.

    Sept. 19 – Americana Proud: A Voice for All

    There are two chances to catch this event at City Winery. The early show is from 8 PM – 9 PM and the late show is 9:30 PM – 10:30 PM. This event “celebrates the voices, songwriting, and storytelling of LGBTQIA+ artists that are part of the Americana community. Hosted by Autumn Nicholas and Vidalia Anne Gentry, Americana Proud brings artists from the margins onto the main stage where the song transcends gender, identity and orientation.”

    Sept. 20 – The Americanafest Fiesta II

    This event is jam packed with talent from 9 AM to 5 PM. Artists in attendance include Moon Taxi, Katie Pruitt, Maggie Rose, Nicole Atkins, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Lissie, Bre Kennedy and more.

    Sept. 20 – NMAAM Songwriters Round

    Spend your lunch hour on Sept. 20 at the National Museum of African American Music with three showcasing artists. This is an acoustic, in-the-round performance includes AHI, Denitia and Joy Clark.

    Sept. 20 – Americana Honors + Awards Viewing Party

    Can’t attend The 22nd Annual Americana Honors & Awards? You can still enjoy the fun with a viewing party at City Winery starting at 6 PM.

    Sept. 20 – Ringleader Roundup at The Underdog

    This is an unofficial showcase but it’s full of artists from different genres including Sarah King, Paisley Fields, Stephanie Quayle, Nate Bergman and more. Tickets are $10.

    Sept. 20 – Noah Guthrie at Analog at Hutton Hotel

    We can’t get enough of Noah Guthrie! You can see why on Sept. 20 at 9 PM.

    Sept. 20 – Joy Clark at The Basement

    After you watch Guthrie, hop over to The Basement to check out Joy Clark. You’ll instantly find out why we’ve fallen in love with Clark’s voice.

    Sept. 21 – Mule Kick + Devious Planet’s Rock ‘n Roll Brunch

    This Americanafest day party sounds like a whole lot of fun. They’re back at East Nashville’s Love and Exile on Main Street with artists including India Ramey, Alice Wallace, Jesse Dayton and more.

    Sept. 21 – NMAAM Songwriters Round

    Once again, this NMAAM songwriters round can’t be missed. This particular day includes one of our favorites, Julie Williams. Mia Borders and Thunderstorm Artis are also on the bill.

    Sept. 21 – Americana’s Most Wanted

    This event has limited capacity and you must have a pass. Mojo Nixon hosts the guitar pull featuring Tommy Emmanuel, Teddy Thompson, Adeem the Artist and Lola Kirke. If you can’t make this one, it will be broadcast live on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country channel.

    Sept. 21 – Roux to Roots: A Louisiana Food + Music Experience

    This one takes place at The Vinyl Lounge and, honestly, it sounds delicious. The event is brought to you by Louisiana Music Trail, Office of Cultural Development, Office of Tourism, Atchafalaya National Heritage Area, Greater New Orleans, Inc. and the New Orleans Music Economy Initiative. It starts at 1 PM.

    Sept. 21 – Equal Access

    Head to the Music Makers Stage on Gallatin for this one from 4 PM to 6 PM. There will be performances by Denitia, Gina Venier, Mya Byrne and Nat Myers.

    Sept. 21 – Carter Faith

    Carter Faith plays The Basement East at 8 PM on Sept. 21. We can’t wait to (finally) hear her gorgeous vocals live!

    Sept. 21 – Mya Byrne Band at Vinyl Lounge

    This is another show you don’t want to miss. The music starts at 10 PM and as Byrne said, the set “is gonna blow the doors off the town tbh.” How can we resist that?!

    Sept. 21 – Adeem the Artist

    Head back to The Vinyl Lounge for a performance by Adeem the Artist on Sept. 21. They will perform at 11 PM.

    Sept 22. – The California Country Show

    From 12 PM to 7 PM, The California Country Show will happen at ACME with an incredible lineup. Chris Pierce, Ladycouch, Victoria Bailey, Sarah Darling and more will play this showcase hosted by Dave Bernal of The California Country Radio Show and Podcast. Find out more here.

    Sept. 22 – NMAAM Songwriters Round

    This NMAAM Songwriters Round includes performances from Phillip-Michael Scales, Simeon Hammond Dallas and Yasmin Williams. The music starts at noon.

    Sept. 22 – Simeon Hammond Dallas + The Sensational Barnes Brothers

    Head to City Winery at 7 PM for performances by Simeon Hammond Dallas and The Sensational Barnes Brothers.

    Sept. 22 – Lori McKenna

    The multitalented Lori McKenna takes the City Winery stage at 9 PM.

    Sept. 22 – Julie Williams

    If you can’t make Williams’ other show, this is the one to see! She plays City Winery at 10 PM.

    Sept. 23 – The 11th Annual Gospel Brunch: Presented by Thirty Tigers

    Celebrate gospel music with chicken and waffles during this brunch. This is first come, first served due to space. Henry Wagons will host the event with performances from 10 AM to 11 AM.

    Sept. 23 – 3rd annual Andy’s AmericanaMitzvah

    This fun event is from 12 PM to 6 PM at Love and Exile. The lineup will be released soon.

    Sept. 23 – Suzy Bogguss + The Shindellas

    At 7 PM on Sept. 23, Bogguss will perform at City Winery. The Shindellas will also play the winery at that time.

    Sept. 23 – Ever More Nest at The 5 Spot

    Check out Ever More Nest on Sept. 23. The music starts at 10 PM!

    Sept. 23 – Leon Timbo at 3rd and Lindsley

    Head to 3rd and Lindsley on Sept. 23 at 11 PM for music from Leon Timbo.
