Laura Veltz to Host an Iconic Songwriters Round at The Listening Room

The following is a press release:

GRAMMY-nominated songwriter Laura Veltz is bringing together an extraordinary lineup of Nashville’s most celebrated songwriters and acclaimed artists for an unforgettable night of music and storytelling at The Listening Room Cafe on November 4. Joining Veltz for the special songwriter round will be Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde and Luke Dick. Tickets will be on sale September 9 at https://listeningroomcafe.com/.

The intimate evening will showcase the stories, songs, and creative forces behind some of today’s biggest hits, with four powerhouse songwriters taking the stage to perform their songs and share the stories behind them. With a combined 29 GRAMMY nominations and 2 wins among the featured songwriters, the night promises a rare opportunity to experience some of Nashville’s most accomplished storytellers in an intimate venue.

More than a night of music, the event will also serve as a fundraiser, bringing the Nashville songwriting community together in support of sending local Nashville 12U baseball team, The M.A.D. Mavericks, to Cooperstown Dreams Park in New York next year. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, exclusively reserved for twelve-year-old athletes, includes a week of youth baseball at Cooperstown Dreams Park and special access to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. More than 500 Cooperstown alumni have gone on to play Major League Baseball, including Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Bryce Harper and Jacob deGrom. The night will include a silent auction of music memorabilia from songs performed during the evening, such as handwritten and signed lyrics, instruments, and more.

“The idea that I can send a quick text to my dear friends, Maren, Ashley & Luke, who happen to be some of the most talented music people on earth – and my neighbors – is one of the craziest parts of being a Nashville songwriter,” said Veltz. “I am so grateful to these legends for joining me in rallying around our local community and helping send these sweet boys on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Although I will be on stage, I am so excited to hear all of this music. ‘Choosin’ Texas’ sung by all of us in four-part harmony is going to blow my mind. I love this town!”

Veltz, a five-time GRAMMY-nominated songwriter, has built an impressive catalog of hits across country, pop, Christian, film/TV, and more, with songs recorded by artists Morris, McBryde as well as Dan + Shay, Demi Lovato, Ella Langley, Shaboozey, Blessing Offor, and others. Just this year, she has had 30 cuts from some of today’s hottest young talent, including longtime collaborator Jessie Murph, Stella Lefty, Drew Baldridge, Anne Wilson, and more.

Joining her are:

Maren Morris, who has established herself as one of country and pop music’s most acclaimed singer-songwriters, earning multiple GRAMMY Awards and nominations for hits including “The Bones” (co-written by Veltz), “My Church,” and “The Middle.”

Ashley McBryde, a GRAMMY Award winner and multi-time nominee, has earned widespread acclaim for her raw, honest songwriting and powerhouse performances. Her catalog includes hits such as “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega,” “One Night Standards” and “Girl Goin’ Nowhere.”

Luke Dick, who is having a history-making year as one of the co-writers of Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” just reached its 20th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 making it the longest run ever at the top of the chart for a non-holiday song.

Together, Veltz, Morris, McBryde and Dick will create a one-night-only experience celebrating the art of songwriting while raising funds for a meaningful cause.
