The nominees are officially in for the 60th CMA Awards, and the list includes some big names and a few fun surprises for Country Music’s biggest night.
Ella Langley leads this year’s nominations with nine, putting her at the top of a list that includes some of the biggest names in Country Music right now. Miranda Lambert follows with seven nominations, while Kacey Musgraves and Ben West each picked up five. Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton and Stephen Wilson Jr. each received four nominations, while Dave Clauss, Luke Combs and Lainey Wilson each have three.
But, of course, one category always gets a little more attention than the rest: Entertainer of the Year.
This year’s nominees are Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Ella Langley, Chris Stapleton, and Lainey Wilson. It’s a pretty stacked group, and with the CMA Awards celebrating 60 years, there’s plenty of reason to watch how this one plays out.
The 60th CMA Awards will also bring a mix of familiar names and first-time nominees. Smith Ahnquist, Avery Anna, Jack Antonoff, Tim Cofield, Carter Faith, Austin Goodloe, Muscadine Bloodline, Emily Ann Roberts, Caylee Robillard, Laura Sisk, Joybeth Taylor, Thelma & James, and Ben West are all receiving their first CMA Awards nominations.
The nominations were revealed Thursday morning on Good Morning America before continuing during a livestream on the CMA’s official YouTube channel.
And now that we know who is in the running, the countdown to the actual celebration is officially on!
The 60th CMA Awards will take place live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 18 from 7 PM – 10 PM CT. The ceremony will air on ABC and Disney+, with the show available to stream the following day on Hulu.
